STRAY Ch. 4 Round one is yoursThe female demon is outside placing seeds in the trees Kurama cut down the day before and helping them to begin growing and healing.  Kurama walks up behind her.
“I apologize to you and your trees for my carelessness.”
“Thank you…… Let’s venture into an old part of the woods today, away from my house where you can’t destroy any more of my scenery.”
They begin jumping through the trees, racing, matching one another’s speed and acrobats move for move until they reach a sizable clearing in a shadowy part of the wood.  This was a very old place where the dying trees were unstable and fall toSTRAY Ch. 4 Round one is yours by ~TheInnerFanGirl
STRAY Ch. 3 Rose WhipThe next morning Kurama awakens to the sound of a loud crash outside the cottage.  He exits the front door to find a large, very old tree fallen to the ground.  The female demon stands several yards away w/ a long vine in her hand.  She turns towards him and w/ one quick whip of the vine she lassos his left hand and begins to draw the vine back using her energy dragging a reluctant Kurama.  He grabs the vine w/ his right hand and attempts to break it.
“That’s pointless. You can no more destroy that vine than a fly can destroy a spider’s web.”
The vine gently unwraps from around his wrist and returns to its true form rSTRAY Ch. 3 Rose Whip by ~TheInnerFanGirl
STRAY Chapter 2 IntroductionsI know who you are.”  She said interrupting. “You are Yoko Kurama, the spirit fox. Demon thief. A stray.”
Kurama replies, “I only do what I must to survive.”
“Liar. You do as you please and steal anything that peaks your interest.  Now what I don’t understand is how someone who is as cunning and stealthy as you are supposed to be got caught and wasn’t prepared to fend off a few low class demons.”
“This form is still new to me.”
“And yet you’ve managed to gain quite a reputation….”

A tall slender female apparition walks alone down a wide path in a heavily wooded area somewhere in demon world.  Yoko Kurama races by her w/o a glance.  He looks beaten, tired and desperate.  He is being chased by 3 larger demons who also look beaten but still very determined to capture him. One of them calls out to the others, “hurry before we lose sight of him again!”  Another shouts back, “His energy is fading! Four-07: Seven Minute Lull - Part 2        Initially, Amaya worried that learning about nearly being possessed would have troubled her too much to properly focus on cooking. However, once Yukina showed her the layout of the kitchen and told her what they would be making, she fell into the familiar, comforting rhythm of cooking with someone. The busywork served as a welcome distraction, allowing her mind to drift to other, less stressful topics. “Hey, Yukina? Do you mind if I ask you something?”
        Yukina looked up from the tofu she had been chopping with an inquisitive hum. “No, I don’t mind. What is it?”

Four-07: Seven Minute Lull - Part 1        Botan made her way to the guestroom at deliberately slow pace to give herself time to think about what she wanted to say to Amaya. Even if the Spirit Detective failed to hear her shouting things that Amaya was not ready to learn about yet, the reaper had no doubt that the earlier battle would be a pressing concern for the teenage girl. Botan knew that she to provide damage control and encouragement, but she found herself faltering on both fronts thanks to her own worries.
        All too soon, Botan arrived at her destination. She hesitated outside the guestroom, staring at the vague shadows through the rice paper screen. A quiet sighFour-07: Seven Minute Lull - Part 1 by ~yukidragon
Four-06: Sixth Sense        Irokafue was dead – Kurama made certain of that. When he destroyed her remains, the tattered scraps of the blue, red, and yellow demons burst into white flame before disintegrating to ash.
       With the threat gone, the anger that fueled Kurama’s transformation began to wane, but the sight of his companions’ injuries ensured that enough would remain should he need the power of his yoko body again. He had completely reverted to his human state by the time he joined Botan at Amaya’s side. “How badly are you both injured?”

Four-05: Go for Broke - Part 2        When Botan chose to come along on the mission, she never dreamed that she might become a hostage. It had never happened on previous cases, despite the fact that she was no fighter like Yusuke, and had little means of defending herself when compared to the former Spirit Detective and the others. She had a few tricks, but none were of use against a surprise attack from behind.
       Botan had stopped not far from the warehouse where she left her companions, with the intent to retrieve her oar and fly away with the boy.
